Feriby Jane Griffin, daughter of William Griffin and Lavisa (Flutie) Griffin, was born about 1855 in Overton County, Tennessee.1 Feriby Jane Griffin was the daughter of William Griffin and Lavisa (Flutie) Griffin.1 Conflicting evidence states that Feriby was born in May 1858 in Overton County, Tennessee.2,3 Feriby Jane Griffin was commonly known as Ruby. She married Samuel Lowhorn, son of Joshua D. Lowhorn and Louisa Stockton, on 2 May 1878 in Clinton County, Kentucky..2 The census of 1 June 1880 enumerated on 4 June 1880 in Illwill Precinct 4, Clinton County, Kentucky, listed Feriby J. "Lowhorn", as the 23-year-old wife of Samuel Lowhorn.4 The census of 1 June 1900 enumerated on 20 June 1900 in District 4 (Illwill), Clinton County, Kentucky, listed Perby J. "Lawhorn", who had been married 22 years, with 9 children of whom 6 were still living, as the 42-year-old wife of Samuel Lawhorn.5 The census of 15 April 1910 enumerated on 27 April 1910 in Illwill Precinct, Clinton County, Kentucky, listed Ferby J. "Lawhorn", who had been married 30 years, with 9 children of whom 6 were still living, as the 53-year-old wife of Samuel Lawhorn.6 The census of 1 January 1920 enumerated on 9 January 1920 in East Illwill Prcinct 10, Clinton County, Kentucky, listed Jane "Lawhorn", as the 62-year-old wife of Samuel Lawhorn.7 Feriby Jane Lowhorn died on 24 April 1942 at home on Route 2 in Albany, Clinton County, Kentucky, of myocarditis.8 She was buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery - Methodist Church, Albany, Clinton County, Kentucky.9
