     Gilley Jane Ferrell, daughter of James F. Ferrell and Elizabeth Jane (__?__) Ferrell, was born 9 December 1826 in Kentucky.1 Gilley Jane Ferrell was the daughter of James F. Ferrell and Elizabeth Jane (__?__) Ferrell. Gilley Jane Ferrell married William George Lowhorn, son of Thomas Lowhorn and Mary Ann Sweeney, about 1848 in Overton County, Tennessee..2 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 28 August 1850 in District 12, Overton County, Tennessee, listed Gilly "Lohorn" as a 24-year-old residing with William Lohorn.3 The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 26 June 1860 in the Oakley post office area of District 6, Overton County, Tennessee, listed Jane "Lowhorn" as a 34-year-old residing with W. G. Lowhorn.4 The census of 1 June 1870 enumerated on 20 August 1870 in the Olympus post office area of District 12, Overton County, Tennessee, listed Gilla J. "Lowhorn", as a 44-year-old residing with William T. Lowhorn.5
