William Henry Lowhorn, son of Samuel J. Lowhorn and Abigaile __?__, was born 1 September 1852 in Tennessee.1,2 William Henry Lowhorn was the son of Samuel J. Lowhorn and Abigaile __?__. William Henry Lowhorn was commonly known as Billy (?). The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 16 June 1860 in the Olympus post office area of District 12, Overton County, Tennessee, listed William "Lowhorn" as a 8-year-old residing with Samuel Lowhorn.2 The census of 1 June 1870 enumerated on 23 August 1870 in the Mouth of Wolf post office area of District 12, Overton County, Tennessee, listed William "Lowhorn", as a 16-year-old residing with Samuel Lowhorn.3 He married Ann Sedwick Cumming, daughter of John Robinson Cumming Sr. and Martha Copeland (Bailey) Cumming, about 1875 in Overton County, Tennessee..4 His wife, Ann Sedwick Lowhorn, died on 7 April 1876 in Clinton County, Kentucky.5,6 Shortly after Viola Alice was born, Ann Cumming Lawhon was dying and asked Billy to let her sister (Viola Branch Cumming) raise the baby. Billy agreed and let the Aunt raise his daughter4 William Henry Lowhorn married Rachel Thacker in 1877 in Clay County, Tennessee..7
