The census of 1 June 1900 enumerated on 10 June 1900 in District 5, Pickett County, Tennessee, listed Sylvanus T. "Laharn", born in TN, as the 17-year-old grand son of Gilly J. Laharn.2 Sylvanus T. Lowhorn married Ada O. Giffin, daughter of Joseph A. Giffin and Margaret S. (__?__) Giffin, on 7 September 1910 in Clinton County, Kentucky..3
