     Margaret A. Lawhorn, daughter of John Lawhorn and Mary Jane Knight, was born about 1853 in Pleasant Valley, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.1 Margaret A. Lawhorn was the daughter of John Lawhorn and Mary Jane Knight.1 The census of 1 June 1870 enumerated on 22 July 1870 in the Fort Scott post office area of Timber Hill Township, Bourbon County, Kansas, listed Margaret Lawhorn, as a 17-year-old residing with J. W. Thompson.2
