     Samuel Lawhorn, son of Sterling Lawhorn and Mary E. Clements, was born about 1871 in Rockbridge County, Virginia.1 Samuel Lawhorn was the son of Sterling Lawhorn and Mary E. Clements.1 The census of 1 June 1880 enumerated on 23 June 1880 in the South River District, Rockbridge County, Virginia, listed Samuel Lawhorn, as a 9-year-old male boarder residing with Henry MacKey.2
