Lewis Rappleye, son of Nicholas Rappleye and Lucy Larraway, was born 18 June 1819 in Interlaken, Seneca County, New York.1,2 Lewis Rappleye was the son of Nicholas Rappleye and Lucy Larraway.1 On the census of 1820 in Covert Township, Seneca County, New York, Lewis was probably a male under 10 years of age residing with Nicholas Rappleye.1 On the census of 1830 in Covert Township, Seneca County, New York, Lewis was probably a male of 10 and under 15 years of age residing with Nicholas Rappleye.3 On the census of 1840 in Covert Township, Seneca County, New York, Lewis was probably a male of 20 and under 30 years of age residing with Nicholas Rappleye.4 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 31 August 1850 in Covert Township, Seneca County, New York, listed Lewis "Rapplye", a laborer, as a 29-year-old residing with Nicholas Rapplye.5 He married Susam Glazier, daughter of Walker Glazier and Cornelia (__?__) Glazier, on 10 June 1852..2
