Rebecca Cornish

     Rebecca Cornish, daughter of Hiram Cornish Jr. and Mary A. (__?__) Cornish, was born 21 August 1876 in New York.^1,2 Rebecca Cornish was the daughter of Hiram Cornish Jr. and Mary A. (__?__) Cornish.² Rebecca Cornish married Arthur Nelson Allen, son of John Smith Allen and Sarah Bacon Rappleye, on 2 February 1897..¹ The census of 1 June 1900 enumerated on 26 June 1900 in Newfield, Tompkins County, New York, listed Rebecca "Allen", born in NY, who had been married 3 years with no children, as the 23-year-old wife of Arthur N. Allen.³ The census of 15 April 1910 enumerated on 18 April 1910 in Newfield Township, Tompkins County, New York, listed Rebecca "Allen", born in New York, who had been married 15 years, with 1 child who was still living, as the 33-year-old wife of Arthur N. Allen.⁴ The census of 1 January 1920 enumerated on 14 February 1920 in Newfield Township, Tompkins County, New York, listed Rebbeca "Allen", born in New York, as the 43-year-old wife of Arthur N. Allen.⁵ The census of 1 April 1930 enumerated on 17 April 1930 in Trumbulls Corners, Newfield Township, Tompkins County, New York, listed Rebecca "Allem", born in New York, who had been married first at the age of 20, as the 53-year-old wife of Arthur N. Allem.⁶ Rebecca Allen died on 1 August 1962.¹
