     Matilda __?__ was born February 1862 in Virginia.2 She married Lucas P. Lawhorn, son of Robert Lawhorn and Rebecca Martin, about 1876..1 The census of 1 June 1900 enumerated on 22 June 1900 in Pedlar Township, Amherst County, Virginia, listed Tildie "Lawhorn", born in VA, who had been married 20 years, with 12 children all of whom were still living, as the 38-year-old wife of Lucas P. Lawhorn.2 The census of 15 April 1910 enumerated on 19 April 1910 in the Pedlar District, Amherst County, Virginia, listed Matilda "Lawhorne", born in Virginia, who had been married 34 years, with 11 children of whom 9 were still living, as the 48-year-old wife of L. P. Lawhorne.1
