Edward Lafayette Munson was born 27 April 1860 in Bath, Clinton County, Michigan.1 He married Eleanor Gertrude Wilcox, daughter of Rufus Wells Wilcox and Emma Philinda Metcalf, in 1912..2 The census of 1 January 1920 enumerated on 16 January 1920 at the Upper Peninsula Hospital for the Insane on Hiawatha Road in Pentland Township, Luce County, Michigan, listed Edward L. Munson, an assistant engineer, as a 57-year-old male residing with the other employees.3 Edward Lafayette Munson and Eleanor Gertrude Munson were divorced before 1930.2 The census of 1 April 1930 enumerated on 30 April 1930 in the Newberry State Hospital, Pentland Township, Luce County, Michigan, listed Edward L. Munson, an engineer at the hospital, as a 67-year-old divorcee residing with the other employees.4 Edward Lafayette Munson died on 27 February 1954 in Newberry, Luce County, Michigan, of congestive heart disease.1 He was buried on 2 March 1954 in the Forest Home Cemetery, Newberry, Luce County, Michigan.5,6
