John Rappleye Wilcox, son of Isaac Wilcox and Emaline Rappleye, was born about 1832 in Steuben County, New York.1 John Rappleye Wilcox was the son of Isaac Wilcox and Emaline Rappleye. John Rappleye Wilcox moved from Huron County, Ohio to a residence in Lenawee County, Michigan, between March 1837 and August 1838 with Isaac Wilcox and Emaline Wilcox.2 On the census of 1840 in Blissfield Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, John Rappleye was probably a male of 5 and under 10 years of age residing with Isaac Wilcox.3 On the census of 1845 in Blissfield Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, John Rappleye was probably a male of 10 and under 21 years of age residing with Isaac Wilcox.4 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 10 September 1850 in Blissfield Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, listed John "Wilcox", a farmer, as a 18-year-old residing with Isaac Wilcox.2 He married Tina Townsend on 9 November 1858 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio..5
