Marsh was the son of Hiram Marsh and Mary Waldo. Marsh married Etoile Claudine Haire, daughter of Joshua Haire and Mary J. (Gregory) Haire, on 1 September 1880 in Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan..3

Marsh, the Institution Storekeeper, born in Michigan, as the 77-year-old widowed father of Robert E. Marsh.8 Emory M. Marsh died in October 1937 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.1
