     Sophia M. Board was born circa 1823 in Virginia.2 She married Edward C. Jones, son of Edward Jones and Sophia Hancock, on 24 December 1838 in Bedford County, Virginia..1 On the census of 1840 in the Southern Division, Bedford County, Virginia, Sophia M. was probably a female of 16 and under 20 years of age residing with Edward C. Jones.3 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 10 October 1850 in the Southern Division, Bedford County, Virginia, listed Sophia "Jones", born in Virginia as a 27-year-old female residing with Edward C. Jones.2 The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 15 June 1860 in the Davis Mills post office area of the Southern Division, Bedford County, Virginia, listed M. "Jones" born in Virginia, as a 37-year-old female residing with E. C. Jones.4
