     Hattie Smith was born about 1890 in Michigan.1 She married Jonas Arthur Metcalf, son of William Metcalf and Emerilla R. Marsh, on 25 December 1913..2 Hattie Smith attended the Medcalf family reunion on 8 July 1927 at the farm home of Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Turner in Ellington, Tuscola County, Michigan.3 The census of 1 April 1930 enumerated on 2 April 1930 in Webberville, Ingham County, Michigan, listed Hattie "Metcalf", who had been married first at the age of 23, as the 39-year-old wife of Jonas A. Metcalf.1 She and Jonas Arthur Metcalf hosted the Medcalf family reunion on 4 July 1930 in Webberville, Ingham County, Michigan.

     Medcalf Reunion.

     Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Turner, J. D. Turner and Cressy Steele attended the tenth annual reunion of the Medcalf family at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Medcalf in Webberville on July 4th. Four brothers and one sister of the family are still living, John and Melvin Medcalf of Ellington, Henry and Jonas Medcalf of Webberville and Mrs. Emma Wilcox of West Branch, and all were among the sixty-four who were present at the reunion. Relatives were present from Ypsilanti, Fenton, Lansing, Caro, Cass City, Grayling and West Branch. The 1931 reunion will be held July 4 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bennett at West Branch.4,5
