LAMESA - Services for Bill Love Jr., 80, of Midway will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church with Garland Stueart officiating. Burial will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
William E. "Bill" Love was born Jan. 20, 1928, and passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at his home in San Angelo, Texas. Parents, W.E. and Faye Love; and sister, Donnalita Love Schooler preceded him in death.
Bill was born in Dawson County, Midway Community. He lived there all his life until the last year and a half that he spent in San Angelo due to his health.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Schooler Love; son Raymond and wife Chrysti of Lamesa; one daughter, Kathy Love Hipp and husband Jackie of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Kristi Pflug and husband Jeff of Anaconda, Mont., Laura Taylor and husband Brad of Lewisville, Texas, Rhonda Reeves and husband Jason of Plano, Texas, Jeff Hipp of Boston, Mass; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He served on the board of directors for Dawson County Farm Bureau for several years.
Bill was a member of the Big Spring Antique Auto Club, the Lubbock Flathead Car Club and the Capital City Antique Auto Club. He began farming and ranching in the Midway Community at an early age. Restoring antique cars was a hobby he enjoyed. Bill was a proud Texan, loved Dawson County and the Midway Community and all his friends and neighbors, but most of all his family.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 18, at Branon Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the National Kidney Foundation or the Midway Baptist Church.2
