On the census of 1840 in Hickman County, Kentucky, Alpha was probably a female under 5 years of age residing with Thos. Willingham.2 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 9 August 1850 in Hickman County, Kentucky, listed Alpha Willingham as a 14-year-old residing with Thomas Willingham.3 She married William Thomas Ellis on 24 May 1859 at the home of Thomas Willingham in Hickman County, Kentucky..4,5
