Deloney Willingham, son of Isham Richard Willingham and Sarah Fickus, was born about 1816 in Henderson County, Kentucky.1 Deloney Willingham was the son of Isham Richard Willingham and Sarah Fickus. Deloney Willingham married Jane Kilgore, daughter of John Kilgore Sr. and Phebe (__?__) Kilgore..2 His wife, Jane Willingham, died before May 1836.3,2 Deloney Willingham married Sarah Hatton, daughter of David Hatton and Sarah (Berget) Hatton, on 12 May 1836 in Monroe County, Missouri..4

On 1 May 1854 Deloney Willingham patented 40 acres of land in Audrain County, Missouri.
The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 28 July 1860 in the Littleby post office area of Prairie Township, Audrain County, Missouri, listed the following:
Deloney Willingham, of Audrain County, was on a list of prisoners sent to St. Louis by General Merril on 23 September 1862.8 On 16 March 1863, William Gamble stated that he posed as a rebel with a group of others and Mr. Willingham of Audrain County, tried to help them steal horses from his neighbors.8 On 15 April 1863, Deloney Willingham of Audrain County, was charged with assisting rebels and offering to guide men disguised as rebels to Union men's houses to steal horses.8 He was taken to the military prison in Alton, Madison County, Illinois, then, after contracting smallpox, he was transferred to smallpox island, Missouri where he escaped and walked home.9,10 He died on 17 April 1863 in Audrain County, Missouri.10 He was buried in the Willingham Cemetery #2 on the Charles Arnold farm in Audrain County, Missouri.11,12
