Ruth and Bill Newman were divorced.1 Ruth Willett Newman's ex-husband, Elmer Francis Newman, died circa 1940.9 Ruth Willett Newman married Clarence Joseph Williams..7 Ruth and Clarence lived at 4250 East 123rd St in Seattle, King County, Washington, in 1949.7 Ruth Willett Williams died on 23 February 1958 in Seattle, King County, Washington, of leukemia.10,7 She was buried on 27 February 1958 in the Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, King County, Washington.Ruth W. Mrs. Williams came to Washington State in 1911, residing at Gold Bar, Everett, Tacoma before coming to Seattle in 1927. She was born in Paris, Texas. She was the worthy matron of Northgate Chapter No. 254, OES; member of Hatasu No. w, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Acacia Court, Order of Amaranth, Bethlehem No. 1, Order of White Shrine, life member and Past Pocahontas of Tulalip Council No. 11, Order of Redmen, Everett, member of Advisory Board of Northgate Assemble Order of Rainbow Girls; honorary complimentary dual member of Rainbow Court, Order of Amaranth in Lake City. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Joseph Williams, Seattle; a daughter, Mrs. Lela W. Wilcox, Everett; a stepson, Charles C. Williams, and stepdaughter, Mrs. Mildred Baker, Seattle; two sisters, Mrs. Stella DesJardin, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. John Partain, Durant, Okla., a brother, Craft Lawhorn, Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Eastern Star services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Forkner Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Seattle. It is suggested that remembrances be in the form of contributions to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children, Spokane.10,11
