     Permelia R. Hipp, daughter of Robert Hipp and Ruthe Perry, was born 1842 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.1 Permelia R. Hipp was the daughter of Robert Hipp and Ruthe Perry. The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 25 July 1850 in the Paw Creek District, Paw Creek Township, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, listed Parmelia "Hipp", born in NC as a 8-year-old female residing with Robert Hipp.2 The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 6 July 1860 in the Charlotte post office area of the Western Division, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, listed Permelia "Hipp", a laborer, born in NC, as a 18-year-old male residing with Robert Hipp.3 Permelia R. Hipp married Sidney A. Bryant on 16 August 1860 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina..1 Permelia R. Bryant died in 1871.1
