     Mary Ada Porter was born 23 July 1872 in Cason, Morris County, Texas.^1,2 She married William Edwin Baird, son of George Washington Baird and Martha Rebecca Ligon, on 23 February 1896 in Pittsburg, Camp County, Texas..^3,4,2 The census of 15 April 1910 enumerated on 22 April 1910 in Snyder, Snyder Township, Scurry County, Texas, listed Ada "Baird", born in Texas, who had been married 14 years, with 3 children all of whom were still living, as the 36-year-old wife of W. E. Baird.⁴ The census of 1 January 1920 enumerated on 3 January 1920 in Precinct 1, Clarksville, Red River County, Texas, listed Mary A. "Baird", as the 47-year-old wife of William E. Baird.¹ The census of 1 April 1930 enumerated on 19 April 1930 in Ward 2 at 401 North Short Street, Clarksville, Red River County, Texas, listed Mary A. "Baird", born in Texas, who had been married first at the age of 23, as the 57-year-old wife of William E. Baird.⁵ Mary Ada Baird died on 14 May 1956 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas.^6,2
