     Meeky East, daughter of William East and Elizabeth __?__, was born 21 December 1814 in Laurens District, South Carolina.1,2 On the census of 1820 in Laurens District, South Carolina, Meeky was probably a female under 10 years of age residing with Wm. East.3 On the census of 1830 in Laurens District, South Carolina, Meeky was probably a female of 10 and under 15 years of age residing with Elizabeth East.4 She married Samuel Leonidas Hipp Sr., son of George Hipp and Margaret __?__, on 14 April 1836 in Laurens District, South Carolina..1,5
