     Lucretia Chapman Baird was born circa 1843 in Arkansas.1 She was the daughter of Alvan Joseph Baird and Maria Barbara Sprigg. Lucretia Chapman Baird was also known as Loudie Baird. The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 5 July 1860 in the Corsicana post office area of Navarro County, Texas, listed L. "Beard" as a 16-year-old residing with Robt. Beard.2
