     James Harrison Baird was born 5 April 1833 in Conway County, Arkansas.1 He was the son of James Ithamar Baird and Susan McAllister. James Harrison Baird married Elizabeth Eleanor Stell on 16 February 1854 in Dallas County, Arkansas..2,3,4

On 1 March 1860 James Harrison Baird patented 120 acres of land in Dallas County, Arkansas.
"... the East half of the North West quarter and the North West quarter of the North East quarter of Section thirty three in Township nine South of Range fourteen West in the district of lands subject to sale at Little Rock Arkansas Containing One hundred and twenty acres ..."6

On 1 April 1861 James Harrison Baird patented 120 acres of land in Dallas County, Arkansas.

The census of 1 June 1880 enumerated on 24 June 1880 in Redland Township, Dorsey County, Arkansas, listed the following:

His wife, Elizabeth Eleanor Baird, died before 1900, presumably as James has remarried.11 James Harrison Baird married Rosa Hanna circa 1900..2,4

Rosa "Baird", 47-year-old wife, married less than a year with no children; b:Arkansas fb:Tennessee mb:Tennessee.12
James Harrison Baird died on 25 January 1909 near Thornton in Calhoun County, Arkansas.11,1,4 He was buried in the Bucksnort Cemetery, Fordyce, Dallas County, Arkansas.13 His wife, Rosa Baird, died on 7 June 1938 in Jackson Township, Calhoun County, Arkansas.14
