     Samuel Hancock, son of Simon Hancock and Pamela Goggins, was born 5 January 1815 in Adair County, Kentucky.1 Samuel Hancock was the son of Simon Hancock and Pamela Goggins. On the census of 1820 in Adair County, Kentucky, Samuel was probably a male under 10 years of age residing with Simon Handcock.2 On the census of 1830 in Adair County, Kentucky, Samuel was probably a male of 10 and under 15 years of age residing with Simon Hancock.3 He married his 1st cousin, Lucy Hancock, daughter of William Hancock and Ailsey Settles, on 24 July 1838..1 Samuel Hancock died in 1841.1
