     Martha Ann Hancock, daughter of Justus Hancock and Harriet S. Walden, was born about 1820 in Bedford County, Virginia.1 Martha Ann Hancock was the daughter of Justus Hancock and Harriet S. Walden. Martha Ann Hancock married Zachariah J. Wheat on 7 July 1845 probably in Bedford County, Virginia..2 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 10 September 1850 in the Southern Division, Bedford County, Virginia, listed Martha A. "Wheat", born in VA as a 30-year-old female residing with Zachariah J. Wheat.3 The census of 1 June 1860 enumerated on 15 August 1860 in the Peaksville post office area of the Northern District, Bedford County, Virginia, listed Martha A. "Wheat" born in VA, as a 36-year-old female residing with Z. J. Wheat.4 The census of 1 June 1870 enumerated in June 1870 in the Liberty post office area of Bedford County, Virginia, listed Martha A. "Wheat", a housekeeper, born in VA, as a 46-year-old female residing with T. J. Wheat.5 Martha Ann Wheat died on 21 August 1874 in Barren County, Kentucky.1
