Mary Ella Rappleye, daughter of Sylvester Rappleye and Mary Ann Ayres, was born 30 March 1868 in Tompkins County, New York.1 The census of 1 June 1870 enumerated on 21 July 1870 in the Farmer post office area of Covert Township, Seneca County, New York, listed Mary "Rappleye", as the 1-year-old residing with Sylvester Rappleye.2 Mary Ella Rappleye married Earnest Goodman Cornish, son of Hiram Cornish and Mary Ann (Holley) Cornish, on 9 November 1898..1 Mary Ella Cornish died at age 77 on 30 December 1945.1 Her husband, Earnest Goodman Cornish, died at age 81 years, 5 months and 15 days on 16 August 1953.1
