In the name of God amen, I, Benjamin B. Lawhorn of the County of Casey and State of Kentucky being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with which I bequeath and give the same in the manner following.

1st I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of the notes I hold on John Lawhorn.

2nd after the payment of any just debts and funeral expenses being paid I give my wife Mariah Lawhorn one third part of my estate both real and personal for and during her natural life.

3rd I give my daughters Sally and Nancy the other two thirds of my personal estate to be equally divided between them and I give the use and benefit of the other two thirds of my real estate to Sally and Nancy Lawhorn until my youngest child living shall become of lawful age at which time I desire and bequeath that the two thirds of the real estate shall be sold and the proceeds equally divided between all my children.

4th I desire that all mechanic tools be sold by my executrix and the proceeds applied to the payment of my debts.

5th that George W. Lawhorn shall have my rifle gun.

6th and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Mariah Lawhorn executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made in ? whereof I do hereby set my hand and affix my seal interlined before signed this 21st day of April 1845.

I Benjamin B. Lawhorn do hearby make and publish this codicil to be added to my last will and testament in manner following. To wit I give and bequeath my rifle gun to my wife Mariah Lawhorn instead of George W. Lawhorn named in the 5th section of my will to which this a codicil.

In witness hearof put my hand and seal this 5th day of September 1845.

I Benjamin B. Lawhorn do hearby make and publish this codicil to be added to my last will and testament in manner following towit. I give and bequeath the proceeds of two thirds of my real estate to my son George, Chrischany and Levina instead of Sally and Nancy Lawhorn named in the third section of my last will to which this is a codicil and when Levinia my youngest child becomes of lawful age I desire that the two thirds of my real estate hearin mentioned by sold and the proceeds equally divided amongst all my children.

In witness whereof I have hearunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 15th day of May 1845. Interlined ? before signed.

At a county court held for Casey County on the 2nd Monday in October 1845 the foregoing will purporting to be the last will and testament of Benjamin B. Lawhorn, dec's. was exhibited to the court and by the oaths of William Ray and Aron B. Fair witnesses thereto was proven to be the act and deed of the said B. B. Lawhorn, dec'd. and ordered to be recorded. Mariah Lawhorn, the executrix having renounced her right to administer, administration will ? was granted to Benjamin Lawhorn.
