Valentine Hipp was born May 1760 in Santee River, South Carolina.1 He was the son of Stephan Hipp and Ann Walkin? Valentine Hipp served in the military during the Revolutionary War; in the North Carolina Line.2 He was named in the will of Stephan Hipp as "son Valentine Hipp" in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on 25 August 1781.3,4 Valentine Hipp lived in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, in 1782.5 He married Margaret Allison in 1785 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina..1
