Jane Lawhorn, daughter of William Laughon and Agnes Still, was born about 1800 in Virginia.1 Jane Lawhorn was the daughter of William Laughon and Agnes Still. Jane Lawhorn was commonly known as Jincy.2 She married John P. Walrond, son of Benjamin Waldron Sr. and Lucy (Ellington) Waldron, on 13 February 1817 in Bedford County, Virginia.. William Laughon provided the surety bond.3,4,5 On the census of 1820 in Bedford County, Virginia, Jane was probably a female of 16 and under 26 years of age residing with John Walrond.6 She was named in the will of John P. Walrond as "my wife Jincy Walrond" in Bedford County, Virginia, on 13 March 1835.7,2 Her husband, John P. Walrond, died between 13 March 1835 and 22 June 1835 in Bedford County, Virginia.8,9 Jane Walrond married Joel Franklin, son of Lawson Franklin and Elizabeth (McManaway) Franklin, on 13 January 1836 in Bedford County, Virginia. The ceremony was performed by James Leftwich. Nixon W. Thomas provided the surety bond.3,7,10 On the census of 1840 in Bedford County, Virginia, Jane was probably a female of 30 and under 40 years of age residing with Joel Franklin.11
