William George Lowhorn, son of Thomas Lowhorn and Mary Ann Sweeney, was born about 1819 in North Carolina.1 On the census of 1820 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, William George was probably a male under 10 years of age residing with Thos. Lohorne.2 On the census of 1830 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, William George was probably a male of 10 and under 15 years of age residing with Thomas Lowhorn.3 He married Gilley Jane Ferrell, daughter of James F. Ferrell and Elizabeth Jane (__?__) Ferrell, about 1848 in Overton County, Tennessee..4
