     Jesse P. Lawhorn, son of Benjamin F. Lawhorn and Frances Amanda Knight, was born about 1835 in Kentucky.1 Jesse P. Lawhorn was the son of Benjamin F. Lawhorn and Frances Amanda Knight. On the census of 1840 in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky, Jesse P. was probably a male under 5 years of age residing with Benja Lawhorn.2 The census of 1 June 1850 enumerated on 24 July 1850 in District 1, Casey County, Kentucky, listed Jesse P. "Lowhorn", a farmer, as a 15-year-old residing with B. Lowhorn.1 He married Mary Jane Williamson about 1860..3,4

Jesse Lawhorn, 24-year-old head of household, a farmer.3
Mary J. "Lawhorn", 15-year-old.3


Jesse P. Lawhorn began military service on 2 January 1862 in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky; as a private in Company K of the 19th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry. He enrolled on 10 December 1861.5 He died on 17 February 1862 in Casey County, Kentucky.5 He was buried in the Willow Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, Casey County, Kentucky.6,7

Lilia Lawhorn, 18-year-old step daughter, a housekeeper.8


He's wife, Mary Jane Williamson, died on 24 September 1921 in Casey County, Kentucky, having remarried after his death.9 Mary Jane Williamson was buried in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Phil, Casey County, Kentucky.9
