Gary Kieth Lawhorn, son of William Absolum Lawhorn and Helen Mae Cassel, was born 17 November 1943 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.1 Gary Kieth Lawhorn was the son of William Absolum Lawhorn and Helen Mae Cassel. Gary Kieth Lawhorn married Donna Marie Balliett on 9 October 1966 in Kenosha, Kenosha County, Wisconsin..1 Gary Kieth Lawhorn died on 5 June 1967 at Wisconsin Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin, after an accident. He was killed one Sunday morning when he was clearing land for a farmer. He did not have on his hard hat and when the dozer pulled down a large limb it hit his head destroying half his brain.1 He was buried on 9 June 1967 in the Davis Corners Cemetery located 12 miles north of Wisconsin Dells at Davis Corners, Adams County, Wisconsin.1,2 Gary had married in the spring and he and Donna were not getting along and he was going to divorce so his mind may well have not been on his job when he was killed. Upon his death, the business my father had built had to be sold as he had taken Gary in as a partner thus making Donna the recipient of 1/2 of all my father had worked for. This almost destroyed him. Donna received 1/2 of his life for 11 months of marriage.1
